Creating a Successful Direct Sales Business

I have failed with Direct Sales and I have been successful. I think there is a recipe to creating a successful business and I want to share the ingredients with you! It’s not just one thing, it’s a delicate combination. I’m still working on it, really you will always work your direct sales business. The beauty of it is, how much you love to work it. When you love your business the way I do, you will never work a day in your life! 😉

Ingredients for Success:

  1. You need to find a product you are passionate about. When you find it, you’ll know. You will be almost giddy over it, lol. You will talk about it like a kid telling Santa what they want for Christmas. I have sold products that I didn’t have that passion for and in the end, it won’t work out. Your passion will help you sell the products and will aid you in creating and training your team.
  2. You need to host your own launch party. Hosting your own party will do many things for you! You will be the consultant, this will get you your first sales and introduce your friends and family to your product. You will be the hostess, this will help you build your kit products and get your some stuff for free! This will also help you with any incentives your company has going for new consultants. Almost all companies do something for new consultants! You are also going to focus on booking parties with your friends and family at your launch.
  3. Now you have a party set up with your friend/family member. Sit them down and tell them you need their help (you can speak freely with them cause y’all are tight like that 😉 ) They need to invite at least 5 people to their party that you do not know! At this party, you need to again work on getting bookings, preferably with the ladies you don’t know. Really, bookings should always be on your mind during a party and you should be planting seeds throughout your presentation. This means, dropping hints as to why someone would want to host a party with you.

Breaking out of your circle of friends is one of the most important factors in being successful with your direct sales business. You can’t sell to your friends and family forever! You need a constantly renewing customer base! How you do this is by meeting new people. The best place to meet people will be at your parties. You know they like the product, they showed up!! Once you break out of that circle of friends, you will be able to find success! I did make a video about becoming successful with Thirty-One but the practices can be used for any products.

This strategy will give you a great start! You will need to work your business everyday but when you love it, you will want to work it!

  1. That’s my problem right now. I don’t know a lot of people so my market is super small. It’s hard to book parties when you do not know anyone!


      • Thanks. I will try but no one wants to book at party at my party so it’s making it hard (my first one is an online party but i have an in home one Sunday). I should have thought this through beforehand! I just don’t know enough people to make it successful yet
